Part of the JEHOVAH’S Witnesses delegates at the Regional Convention in Checheche
JEHOVAH’S Witnesses (JW) in Manicaland have been urged to endure during difficult and trying times. This came out at a JW Regional Convention held last Friday and ended on Sunday a Checheche Assembly Hall which ran under the theme, “Don’t Give Up.”
Speakers mainly from Chipinge and Chimanimani congregations and other visiting ones from Harare and Kadoma emphasised the need for people to endure various forms of trials, to learn from various examples of nature that endure harsh conditions and how to win the race of everlasting life.
Highlights of the Convention which was chaired by Circuit Overseer Peter Mudesva and was attended by 1650 delegates include baptism of 49 new members and the release of a three-part drama named “Remember the wife of Lot” which urged people not to let the love of riches endanger their spiritual progress like what Biblical Lot’s wife did.
Jehovah’s Witnesses in Zimbabwe have been holding Regional Conventions in various parts of the country since July this year using languages that include Shona, Ndebele, Sign and English.
