Stephen is a Public Relations, Communication Practitioner and Filmmaker who has more than twenty-five years of experience in the production of audio-visual material for both in-house and mass electronic and print media in Zimbabwe.
This blog aims at promoting tourism in the South Eastern region of Zimbabwe which incorporates Beitbridge, Chipinge and Chiredzi towns. Stephen grew up in Triangle near Chiredzi town.
Consisting mainly the hot dry Lowveld, the area has savanna type of vegetation and is home to both small five and big five game.
The region is blessed with Zimbabwe's second largest national wildlife reserve, Gonarezhou National Park which is part of the world renowned Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park which amalgamates Gonarezhou with Mozambique's Limpopo National Park and South Africa's Kruger National Park. Gonarezhou is home to global red sandstone attraction, Chilojo Cliffs.
The Great Limpopo peace parks project incorporates other private tourism players in Chiredzi like The Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve with its Singita-Pamushana lodges flagship, Chiredzi River Conservancy, Save Valley Conservancy, Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge, Malipati Conservation Area, Manjinji Pan and other resorts like Nesbit Arms Hotel, Palm Tree Place Hotel and CCDI Multi-Cultural Village at Boli Mhlanguleni.
Beitbridge has Bubye Conservancy and Bubiana Conservancy under Great Limpopo and many more outside the peace parks category like Holiday Inn and Londa Hotel.
Chipinge has Chipangayi Conservation Area, Chirinda Forest which boosts of Zimbabwe's Big Tree, Chibasane Falls, Musirizwi Falls, Paiyepo Cultural and Heritage Centre and Birchenough Bridge as some of its attractions.
Zimbabwe's South Eastern Lowveld region is a must visit.
